The number of older adults, including those with disabilities, is increasing.
2. Lack of Options in the Duplin Area:
There are only 3-4 Major facilities serving a population of 60,000 people
3. Decline in Family Caregiving:
Families are increasingly less able to provide long-term care for loved ones due to
work commitments, geographical distances, and other factors
4. Need for Specialized Care:
Some individuals with disabilities require specialized care and therapies that may
not be readily available in the home setting

KITRINA RHODES
Our Founder
Owner and Operator of Special Touch Assisted Living. I am a native of Duplin County, born and raised in Rose Hill, NC, and later moved to Beaulaville, NC, where I graduated from East Duplin High School.
With over 35 years of experience in the healthcare field as home health nurse, I have dedicated my life to caring for others. About 14 years ago, I became an APL Provider in the Mental Health field, further solidifying my passion for helping those in need.
